Australian author Alison Goodman has created a wonderful series for lovers of Regency drama, with a large dash of derring-do, swashbuckling highwaymen, doughty women, mysteries to solve and a spot of romance.
This is the first in a planned series, and I just adored it. It is funny, sad, uplifting and swoonworthy. I first listened to it as an audiobook, then purchased a copy for myself, and bought it as a birthday present for one of my sisters-in-law.
The second book in the series is just out this week and I already have my copy! So good to see other Australian writers doing so well.
